The Diversity Task Force regarding Women on Boards (DTF)1 launched its report, “Gender Diversity on Boards: A Business Imperative” today. This report explores gender diversity on boards and in senior management of companies listed on the Singapore Exchange, and provides recommendations on the way forward.
On Thursday, 14 November 2013, the third Singapore Board Diversity Report was launched by BoardAgender, along with the Centre for Governance, Institutions & Organisations and supported by UBS and SGX. Dr. Marleen Dieleman, Associate Director, NUS Business School CGIO, presented the findings of the report which shows that only 7.9% of directors are women.
On Friday, 12 October, BoardAgender, along with the Centre for Governance, Institutions & Organisations and supported by UBS and SGX, presented the findings of the second Singapore board diversity report.
5 March 2012, Singapore – New research reveals that women are better represented in the boardrooms of local statutory boards than in the boardrooms of listed companies in Singapore. As of February 2012, female directors held 19.8% of board positions on Singapore’s statutory boards, while only 6.9% of the corporate directors at Singapore Exchange-listed companies were women.
