I believe that organizations that embrace diversity benefit from the ability to attract, groom and retain talent, regardless of race, gender or religion. Women make up 60% of DBS’ 21,000 workforce and account for 30% of our Managing Director population. We need to encourage all effort to increase the likelihood of women operating in C-suite positions and are in senior management positions so that gender parity for women on boards is a given. I am encouraged that BoardAgender has helped elevate gender diversity on boards into a national business agenda and hope to share my personal experience, help raise awareness, change mindsets and attitudes to support the advancement of senior women leaders into the boardroom.
