BoardAgender’s Mentoring Programme for Aspiring Women Directors 2022 combines one-on-one mentoring by experienced company directors in Singapore with group and peer mentoring and closed-door sessions with well-respected, experienced directors and other partners.

The director-mentors are: Dan Luo, Dina CoppelJoy Tan, Kim Leng ChuaLay Chew Chng, Li Li Kuan, Nick Winsor MBERichard Tan Chuan LyeRobert Grome, and Shai Ganu.

The programme was started to encourage, support, and advocate for women to be seated at the board level. “Gender diversity at the board level is critical to any business because women bring diversity of thought and experience, which makes for a good, functioning board,” shares Georgette Tan Adamopoulos, Chair of BoardAgender. Through the programme, mentees have gained valuable insights on the most critical skills that will enable them to contribute as peers in the boardroom. This includes corporate boards, as well as boards of non-profit organisations, SMEs, Government Task Forces, family-owned businesses, and more.

The top 100 listed companies and statutory boards in Singapore have achieved targets of 20% and 30%, respectively, since June 2022. And for the top non-profits with IPC (Institutions of a Public Character) status, that number is at 29%. While this is a step in the right direction, it goes without saying that more can be be done by both profit and non-profit organisations, especially when it has been proven multiple times over that .

More details on applying for the 2023 program will be announced in March 2023. Visit here for further information: https://boardagender.org/mentees/
