I think it’s important to have more gender diversity, not because it’s a PC thing, or just because women form half the population, and very likely half the working population in Singapore. It’s important because women’s perspectives on issues are shaped by the myriad of roles they play in society. From being mothers, wives, daughters and sisters to breadwinners today, women lend valuable insights which will contribute to more inclusive decision making by companies.
