BoardAgender aims to provide a forum in Singapore to facilitate a greater awareness and understanding of the benefits of gender balanced business, and the advancement of more women into senior leadership roles and the boardroom. BoardAgender welcomes business women and men, as well as private and public sector organisations to participate in our events, engage in our discussions, and benefit from our resources to achieve best practices.

More than half of the Singapore population is female, and yet only a small percentage of the vast pool of well-educated and experienced business women are represented in the senior ranks of corporations. Across the globe there is increasing focus from the private and public sectors on how to attract, retain, develop, and promote female business talent within a meritocratic system.

Gender balanced business is now seen as a business imperative to ensure that companies access the best leadership and talent – men and women- to maintain innovation, profitability and sustainability in today’s global economy. Gender diversity in the workplace should be viewed as a business issue, not a gender issue.

BoardAgender is an initiative of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), and its aims are endorsed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development in Singapore.
