Helping women move up the corporate ladder to take on senior leadership positions is important for the advancement of gender inclusiveness. Organisations need to recognise merit wherever it may occur. Gender, and other factors such as age or race, should not limit the extent of an individual’s progression and contributions at the workplace. By providing female employees fair access to jobs, training, career progression, recognition and rewards, will help make female employees more committed, and motivated to work for the organisation, leading to a more productive and engaged female talent pool.
